About

Every server ends up with a story it tells itself. This is Ice Link Valley's.

Where it comes from

Ice Link Valley runs on a small dedicated machine called Ice Link — the same quiet box that hosts the wiki and the site. It's a modest, self-hosted setup, built slowly rather than spun up in a hurry.

The idea is deliberately plain: vanilla Minecraft, done well. No modpacks, no Forge or Fabric. Purpur keeps the game stable and fast, and everything layered on top exists to make the *world* more interesting — not to turn the game into a spreadsheet. Anything added has to earn its place, or it doesn't stay.

Small on purpose

We're whitelisted and capped at 25 players. It's a ceiling we like: small enough that your build isn't a drop in the ocean, big enough that there's always someone around to trade with or pull you out of a hole.

The world is shaped by Terralith, Terratonic, Incendium, Nullscape, and Dungeons & Taverns — the full picture is on the World page. The short version: real terrain, a Nether worth braving, an End that isn't empty, and ruins that tell their own story.

How things are run

Three quiet principles keep the place honest:

  • Whitelist, always. You're here because you were let in, and so is everyone else.
  • No grief, no cheating. CoreProtect logs every block placed and broken; Grim watches for cheaters. It isn't surveillance for its own sake; it's the reason a week of building won't vanish overnight.
  • A real economy. Player shops trade in emeralds and diamonds. No fictional currency and no money printer; wealth is earned, and it stays yours.

Who looks after it

The server is run by MrHydrux — the one who picks the updates, patches the box, and answers the “is it down again” messages. It's a one-person labour of love, with a few friends along for the ride.

If you're here, you're part of it now.
